Overview<\/strong><\/p>

The fund supports interdisciplinary research projects on precise design and construction of localized atom and electronic structure at interface of catalyst solid surface, selective activation and directional transformation of carbon based energy carrying molecules at the surface interface and interaction mechanism and regulation of interface between catalyst solid surface and environment and external field.<\/p>

How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>

The applicant should log in to ISIS system and fill in the application form online. The funding category should be selected as \u201cMajor Research Program\u201d; the subcategory should be selected as \u201ckey supporting project\u201d or \u201cdevelopment project\u201d; the annotation should be \u201cCatalytic Science for Carbon-based Energy Conversion and Utilization\u201d.<\/p>

Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>

1.\u00a0 The applicant should have experience of undertaking\u00a0<\/a>fundamental research\u00a0topic or other experience on fundamental research.<\/p>

2.\u00a0The applicant should have high professional technical positions(titles).<\/p>

On-station postdoctoral research fellows and graduate students are not eligible for the project.<\/p>

Award Information<\/strong><\/p>

Project Duration:\u00a0<\/strong>3 years for Development Project, from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020; 4 years for Key Supporting Project, from January 1, 2018 \u2013 December 31, 2021.<\/p>

Award Size:<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>800,000(800 thousand) Yuan for<\/a>\u00a0each \u201cDevelopment Project\u201d; 3,000,000-4,000,000(3 million-4 million) Yuan for each \u201cKey Supporting Project\u201d<\/p>

Proposal Submission<\/strong><\/p>

The proposal should be submitted online during August 28, 2017-September 1, 2017, 16:00. And the application form should be printed and sealed by host institution and be sent to Material Reception Office of NSFC, 83 Shuangqing Road, Haidian District (Room 101 in Administration Building) with official letter issued by host institution and a list for applied projects before September 1, 2017, 16:00.<\/p>
