Notice on the Call for Proposals of Major Project Areas of the Department of Interdisciplinary Science for the Year 2024<\/strong><\/p>

According to the “National Natural Science Foundation of China’s major project management measures”, the Department of Interdisciplinary Science for the scientific and technological community to solicit proposals for the establishment of major projects of the Department of Interdisciplinary Science for the year 2024 in the field.<\/p>

I. Positioning of Major Projects<\/strong><\/p>

\u3000\u3000Major projects are oriented to the scientific frontiers and major scientific problems in national economic, social, scientific and technological development and national security needs, deployed ahead of time to carry out multidisciplinary cross-comprehensive research, give full play to the role of support and leadership, and enhance China’s basic research and innovation capacity.<\/p>

II<\/strong>. Requirements for major projects<\/strong><\/p>

\u3000\u3000(1) The proposed project areas shall originate from the common scientific problems of multidisciplinary intersection or the major scientific problems that need to be solved by means of multidisciplinary intersection and integration research, and have the necessity and urgency of organization and implementation.<\/p>

\u3000\u3000(2) The key scientific issues to be crystallized are scientific, important, cross-cutting and forward-looking.<\/p>

\u3000\u3000(3) It is expected to make significant breakthroughs in solving major complex scientific problems, establishing cross-research teams, promoting changes in the paradigm of scientific research, forming new disciplinary growth points, and promoting social progress.<\/p>

III<\/strong>. Requirements for submitting project proposals<\/strong><\/p>

\u3000\u30001. Please fill in the “Proposal of Major Project Areas” (Word template is attached), and select the acceptance code according to the content of the proposal, T01: Material Science, T02: Intelligent Science and Intelligent Manufacturing, T03: Life Science and Health, and T04: Convergence Science.<\/p>

\u3000\u30002. Please send the Word electronic version of the “Proposal for Major Project Fields” to the following e-mail address of the Division of General and Strategic Planning, Department of Interdisciplinary Science, before 16:00 on August 22, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>

\u3000\u30003. Please send the original paper copy of the “Proposal for Major Project Areas” with the official seal of the supporting unit (1 copy) to the Division of Integrated and Strategic Planning, Department of Interdisciplinary Science before August 23, 2023 (postmarked date). Applications not sent in paper form by the specified time will not be accepted.<\/p>

IV. Other Matters to be Explained<\/strong><\/p>
