Announcement on soliciting suggestions for major projects of the Ministry of Interdisciplinary Science in 2025<\/strong><\/p>

According to the provisions of the “National Natural Science Foundation of China Major Project Management Measures”, the Department of Interdisciplinary Science solicits suggestions from the scientific and technological community for the establishment of major projects of the Department of Interdisciplinary Science in 2025.<\/p>

\u3000\u30001. Positioning of major projects<\/strong><\/p>

\u3000\u3000Major projects are oriented to the frontiers of science and major scientific issues in the country’s economic, social, scientific and technological development and major national security needs. They are deployed in advance to carry out multi-disciplinary and comprehensive research, give full play to their supporting and leading roles, and enhance my country’s basic research source innovation capabilities.<\/p>

\u3000\u30002. Suggested requirements for major project establishment areas<\/strong><\/p>

\u3000\u30001.\u00a0Suggestions for project areas should be derived from common scientific issues across multiple disciplines or major scientific issues that can only be solved by combining multidisciplinary research methods, and have the necessity and urgency for organizational implementation.<\/p>

\u3000\u30002.\u00a0The key scientific issues condensed are scientific, important, cross-cutting and forward-looking.<\/p>

  1. It is expected to achieve significant breakthroughs in solving major and complex scientific problems, establishing cross-disciplinary research teams, promoting changes in scientific research paradigms, forming new disciplinary growth points, and promoting social progress.<\/li><\/ol>

    \u3000\u30003. Requirements for submitting project proposals<\/strong><\/p>

    \u3000\u30001.\u00a0Please fill in the “Major Project Proposal Area” (see attachment for Word template), and select the acceptance code according to the content of the proposal, T01: Physical science field, T02: Intelligent science and intelligent manufacturing field, T03: Life science and health field, T04 : Integrated scientific fields.<\/p>

    1. Please send\u00a0the Word electronic version<\/strong>of the “Major Project Proposal Area”\u00a0to the email address of the Comprehensive and Strategic Planning Division of the Ministry of Interdisciplinary Sciences before\u00a016:00 on April 27, 2024 to: <\/strong>interdis@nsfc.gov.cn<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>
    2. Please send\u00a0the original paper copy<\/strong> of the “Major Project Proposal Area” stamped with the official seal of the host unit(1 copy) to the Comprehensive and Strategic Planning Department of the Interdisciplinary Science Department before\u00a0April 28, 2024<\/strong>\u00a0(based on the postmark date of the letter) .<\/li><\/ol>

      Suggestions in the project area that do not send paper versions of documents within the specified time will not be accepted\u00a0.<\/p>
