Professor Akio Tomiyama (Kobe University) served as conference chairperson. More than 800 participants from over 30 countries and regions, including China, Japan, the United States, France and so on, attended the conference. The Chinese participants are from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhejiang University, Southern University of Science and Technology and National Cheng Kung University. The conference includes 4 plenary lectures, 10 keynote lectures, 619 oral presentations, and 53 poster presentations. The conference covers 20 scientific topics, including Computational Techniques for Multiphase Flows, Particle-Laden Flows\uff0cModelling of Multiphase Flows, Bubbles and Drops\uff0cExperimental Methods for Multiphase Flows\uff0cMultiphase Flow in Heat and Mass Transfer and so on.<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"color: #333333\">The 1st International Conference on Multiphase Flow (ICMF) was held in Tsukuba, Japan in 1991 and then the 2nd was again in Japan, Kyoto in 1995. Since then, ICMF has been governed by the ICMF Governing Board, and has been held every three years in the three geographical regions in the order of Europe, America and Asia-Oceania.
