Abstract

Thin-film transistors (TFTs) are the core components in the consumable electronics. The large-area/roll-to-roll manufacturing, device scaling and compatibility to human body are critical challenges for Internet of Things (IoTs) applications. Thus, this report is divided into three parts: 1) general introduction of transistors for undergraduate/graduate students, including the history, device structure and functionality. 2) foundry-compatible patterning of organic semiconductor films and relevant devices/sensors will be discussed. 3) Scalable solution fabrication of the flexible devices based on metal oxide films and nanofibers.
