class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">About Prof. Ziyi Zhong<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bfaeb91 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bfaeb91\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<h5>Prof. Zhong graduated from both Wuhan University and Nanjing University, earning his Bachelor&#8217;s, Master&#8217;s, and Doctoral degrees in succession. His thirst for knowledge led him on an exciting five-year postdoctoral research journey across respected institutions, including Bar-Ilan University in Israel, the University of Washington in Seattle, and the National University of Singapore. In 2002, he was recognized with the prestigious Canadian NSERC Visiting Fellowship, allowing him to work at the Biotechnology Research Institute in Montreal. From February 2003 to September 2018, he made significant strides in research at the Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences under A*STAR in Singapore. During this vibrant chapter, he also took on adjunct roles as an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University and as a senior scientist at the Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute. In October 2018, he embraced a new opportunity at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) as a Full Professor, where he has established a Green Catalysis Laboratory. As of September 2025, he has authored\/co-authored around 280 academic papers published in peer-reviewed journals, which have been cited nearly 23000 times\u2014along with contributions to six book chapters, 10 patents, and an H-index of 77 (Google Scholar).
