The Applied Thermal Energy (ATE)<\/b> laboratory was established in 2022 and located at Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology with the main goal of studying energy conversion in fuel-consuming equipment and the associated problems in thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and combustion. The primary focus is on investigating promising ways to improve energy efficiency \u2013 specifically, thermochemical exhaust heat recuperation \u2013 while also emphasizing the use of carbon-free fuels, such as ammonia.<\/p>\n

The main research directions include but are not limited the following:
– thermodynamics, including chemical thermodynamics;
– combustion (experiments and numerical);
– heat and mass transfer (experiments and numerical);
– AI predicted simulations.<\/p>\n
