Zhengzhou University and his Ph.D. in\nChemical Engineering from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)\nin 2011. After that, He continuously worked as a postdoctoral research fellow\nand Researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering of NTNU (2011-2016)\nand focused on membranes for CO2-related separations based on experimental and\nprocess simulation. Before joining GTIIT, he was a Principal Investigator at\nNTNU (2017-2020) leading a large project on carbon membranes for CO2 removal\nfrom high-pressure natural gas.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Prof. Xuezhong He\u2019s primary research\ninterest is separation technology, particularly membranes for gas separations,\nsuch as membranes for post-combustion carbon capture, biogas upgrading, natural\ngas sweetening, and hydrogen purification as well as biomass-to-bioenergy. He\nhas a solid background and knowledge in both material development (e.g.,\npolymeric, facilitated transport, nanocomposite, and carbon membranes) and\nmulti-scale simulations (molecular simulation, neural network, process\nsimulation) for studying molecular design, thermodynamic properties prediction,\nand techno-economic feasibility analysis.<\/span><\/p><p>\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Prof. He has published &gt;100 papers in\nleading journals (e.g., Nat. Commun., Sci. Adv., AIChE J., Adv. Sci., J. Membr.\nSci.), one book, 12 book chapters, and five patents, with a total citation of\n&gt;6800 times and an h-index of 43(Google Scholar). He serves on the Editorial\nBoard of Separation and Purification Technology and Carbon Capture Science\n&amp; Technology. He is the Recipient of International Excellent Young\nScientists from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the\nHigh-End Foreign Experts Program. Has led or participated in 15 research\nprojects, including those funded by NSFC, MOST, Guangdong Natural Science\nFoundation, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, the Research\nCouncil of Norway (RCN), and the European Union&#8217;s Sixth Framework Programme\n(FP6). Prof. He has also established close collaborations with industry\npartners, including Equinor, Energias de Portugal (EDP), NORCEM Cement, Air\nProducts, China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd.
