aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1971\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"false\"><p>Dr. Bin Li joined the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (Robotic Track) of GTIIT in September 2020, as an associate professor. Before moving to Cornell University to pursue postdoctoral position at Sibley school of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, he has completed two years postdoctoral training at Institut Jean Le Rond d\u2019Alembert, Universit\u00e9 Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI). He received his PhD in Applied Mathematics (Computational Mechanics) under the supervision of Prof. Marino Arroyo from LaC\u00e0N\u2013Mathematical and Computational Modeling, Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya-BarcelonaTech in 2016. He works in the broad fields of theoretical and computational solid mechanics.<\/p><p>At GTIIT, his research focuses on mathematical modeling and advanced computational methods to improve the understanding of the mechanics and physics of fracture in solids. He is interested in the fundamental study of damage and fracture of heterogeneous materials, anisotropic materials, and tearing of thin sheet, as well as mechanics of soft materials and mechanics modeling of contractile microtissues.
