aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1971\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"false\"><p>Vikrant Gupta obtained his PhD in Engineering (thermo-fluids group) from the University of Cambridge and holds a Master\u2019s and Bachelor\u2019s in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Before joining GTIIT in August 2024, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge and served as a Research Associate Professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology. His research primarily focuses on applications in clean energy.<\/p>\n<p>Vikrant specializes in the analysis and modelling of complex flow systems, which often suffer from the curse of dimensionality. His underlying philosophy is that dynamical systems frequently exhibit simple dynamics dominated by only a few degrees of freedom (DoF). The majority of DoF exist to create apparent complexity and thus need to be simplified. He employs methods ranging from classical model-reduction techniques to purely data-driven approaches.
