Announcement from Guangdong Department of Education on Application Work for 2019 High-level State-funded Researchers, Visiting Scholars and Postdoctoral Research Fellow Programs

To all relevant institutions:

1. Institution and Scope for Application

• According to the relevant requirements of CSC, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Science and Technology, Jinan University and South China Normal University are responsible for receiving the application from their employees.

• Applicants from universities other than mentioned above would be submitted to Provincial Department of Education and the specific affairs would be processed by Guangdong Education Service of International Exchanges.

• For the projects with special regulations, the requirements shall be followed.

2. Application Schedule and Requirements

• All selection measures as well as materials for 2019 High-level State-funded Researchers, Visiting Scholars and Postdoctoral Research Fellow Programs can be checked on csc.edu.cn.

• The online application would be open from Jan 5^th, 2019 to Jan 15^th, 2019.

• Please check and verify and file the application materials according to the requirements and check and modify the online information submitted by the applicant. After the applicants submit the application online, the funding management department in the institutions shall collect the paper materials and have the e-version of institutional opinion on the application. The paper materials shall be sealed with signature, official stamp and with review comment.

• All institutions please submit the materials on time. The paper materials shall be sent to Guangdong Education Service of International Exchanges before Jan 16^th, 2019. Submission after the designated date will not be accepted.

3. Application Acceptance and Organization

• All institutions shall put emphasis on the application work, combine the implementation of the project with the talent cultivation of the institution, make good plan of talent cultivation and practical work plan. The 2019 program shall be promoted and the applicants who are qualified shall be encouraged to apply for the programs.
• Formal invitation letter or letter of acceptance shall be obtained. The offer would be reserved to June 30^th, 2020 if accepted. The result would be announced in late March, 2019.

4. Management Work

• Name list of candidates who are selected and would like to give up the chances shall be submitted to the Guangdong Department of Education before late July, 2019.
