Bixia Qiu, graduated from Jiangnan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Quality and Safety and a Master’s Degree in Food Science and Engineering. After that, She worked as an R&D Engineer in the Research and Development center of Sirio Health Technology Co., Ltd from 2018 to 2021. She joined in the Lab of Food Substainabiome from March 2021 and currently She is doing a PhD Program in Prof. Achmon’s lab. She is looking forward to exploring the world of food substainablity and hope to make some discovery and learn more skills.

Xiaohui An obtained a bachelor’s degree in Food safety from Huazhong Agricultural University and a master’s degree in Food biotechnology from the Center for Viticulture & Enology of China Agricultural University. During his stay at the Center for Viticulture & Enology, he mastered techniques of molecular biology and chemical analysis. Now, he is very glad to devote himself to the research of food sustainability in Prof. Achmon’s lab. He believes that sustainable development will greatly contribute to environmental protection and will surely make the world a better place.

Peirong Yu received her bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Food Engineering from Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) in 2021. Then she joined in the research team of the Laboratory of Food Substainabiome and is currently pursuing a direct PhD degree. Her research focuses on the quality change during simulated storage and the controlled delivery during sex-based digestion of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, the dried pericarp derived from Citrus reticulata Blanco and used as a popular dietary supplement.

Yuying Zeng received his bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Food Engineering from Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) in 2021. Subsequently, he embarked on his graduate journey under the guidance of Professor Yigal, and he is currently pursuing a direct PhD program. His research primarily focuses on the field of ionic liquids, encompassing the exploration of the potential of ionic liquids in tea waste extraction, monitoring volatile organic compounds as indicators during the ionic liquid extraction process, and investigating the unique fermentation of tea residue within ionic liquids, and so on.

Chunyu Li graduated from Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) with a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Food Engineering. She then joined in Prof. Achmon’s lab as a MSc student, and transferred to be a PhD student from September 2023. Her research is on reusing municipal food wastes as soil amendments for soil biosolarization.

Yancui Liang, graduated from Shantou University with a Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry in 2020. She is doing master program in Prof. Achmon’s lab, working on development new type of biodegradable polymer in agriculture industry.

Liye Chen, graduated from Hebei Agricultural University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Engineering, then pursued her Master’s study in Food Science from Beijing University of Agriculture. After that, She worked as an R&D Engineer in the Beijing co, LTD. Food from 2020 to 2021. She joined in the Lab of Food Substainabiome from August 2021 and currently She is an RA in Prof. Achmon’s lab. She is looking forward to exploring the world of food sustainability and hope to make some discovery and learn more skills.

Runying Liu, graduated from Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in 2023, majoring in Biotechnology and Food Engineering. She joined the Lab of Food Substainabiome in April 2022 and currently She works as a research assistant in Prof. Yigal ACHMON’s lab. She has been fortunate to gain experience in GTIIT where She was not only to improve her lab skills but also to build a solid foundation for her future development.
