Pavlos Dimitriou is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology since October 2021. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the Oxford Brookes University (UK), an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering (with distinction) and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Sussex (UK). Pavlos worked as a postdoctoral researcher (October 2015-March 2017) at the University of Bath (UK) and Research Scientist (April 2017-September 2021) at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan. Pavlos’ main research activities are in combustion systems with conventional and alternative fuels, turbocharging/downsizing and advanced simulations for powertrain systems. Throughout his career, he has collaborated and led major research projects with leading automotive and energy companies such as Ford Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda Motor Co, Saudi Aramco, MHI and many others.
