    (1) New generation of information technology including computing and communication chips, next-generation communications and networks, network information security, next-generation artificial intelligence, quantum science and engineering, 4K/8K ultra-high definition video.

     

    (2) Manufacturing of high-end equipment including laser processing and manufacturing, high-end medical equipment, servo motors, high-performance servo drives for industrial robots, reducers, molds, CNC machine tools, etc.

     

    (3) Green and low carbon including new energy, new energy vehicles, energy saving and environmental protection.

     

    (4) Biomedicine including precision medicine, stem cells and regenerative medicine, new drug creation, modernization of Chinese medicine, brain science and brain-computer engineering.

     

    (5) Digital economy including big data and cloud computing, smart cities, the Internet of Things, blockchain.

     

    (6) New materials including new displays, third-generation semiconductor materials, additive manufacturing (3D printing), biomedical materials, graphene and carbon fiber, high-performance ceramic components.

     

    (7) Marine economy including marine equipment, marine environmental protection and resource utilization.

     

    (8) Modern seed industry and precision agriculture including modern seed industry, precision agriculture, food safety, intelligent agricultural machinery and equipment.

     

    (9) Modern engineering technology. It includes core technologies for major transportation infrastructure construction, pivotal controlled water conservancy projects and key technologies for water resources allocation, key technologies for urban deep space utilization and circular economy development, key technologies for a new generation of green intelligent buildings, and key common technologies for modern engineering.

     

    (10) Other important areas of science and technology.

     

    1. Requirements for the Proposed Projects

     

    (1) The projects should have been approved by the national key science and technology program, and have been concluded or will soon be concluded since the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. It should have made important progress and breakthroughs, which are in line with Guangdong’s economic and social development needs, and it should be with ideal technology maturity. Relevant achievements of the projects shall be able to be demonstrated, promoted and introduced with industrialization applications in Guangdong.

     

    (2) The projects should have been approved by the national key science and technology program after the reform of the central financial science and technology plan management since the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”, have made phased progress in related research and development, and can help with the current related collaboration in Guangdong or can achieve demonstration of engineering application and testing.

     

    (3) Projects that have been proposed for national science and technology major projects and key research and development programs since 2017. The results of the review of the project should be among the best, and the results of the defense should be excellent. The reasons of the disapprove of the projects should be budgetary input or other reasons. The projects shall be in line with the key science and innovation areas supported by Guangdong and can help with the collaboration for innovation or be developed and applied in Guangdong.

     

    (4) Other projects or achievements supported by important plans of the national ministries. Related results should be able to be landed in Guangdong.

     

    1. Requirements for the Materials

     

    (1) The project information form (see Annex 1).

     

    (2) Project contracts and annual progress reports shall be provided for the projects that have been established.

     

    (3) If the project application for the national science and technology plan has not been approved, in principle, the application shall be made by the original leading unit, or after the reorganization of the plan (the core content remains unchanged), the original program core unit or the main unit shall submit an application and provide the proof materials.

     

    (4) The project leading unit shall provide a letter of commitment for the integrity of scientific research and the application materials.

     

    The collection is valid all the time, and the projects submitted before September 23 will be the first group to start the innovative program.

     

    The program is planned to collect a batch of funded projects by national science and technology plans or projects that have been reviewed and given good remarks and are very likely to be funded by these plans, to be included in the project library and given funding or policy support.
