2022 Project Guidelines for the Major Research Program on Dynamic Modification and Chemical Intervention of Biological Macromolecules
This program focuses on the core scientific issues of biological macromolecule dynamic modification and chemical intervention research. Based on the previous implementation of this major research program, the following four research fields will be funded in 2022 in the form of integrated projects and key support projects:
(1) Research on the dynamic modification of biological macromolecules driven by new technologies and new methods.
(2) New technologies of protein synthesis chemistry and synthesis, editing, and functional research of ubiquitination modifications.
(3) Identification, functional regulation, and chemical intervention of new anti-tumor targets based on protein modification.
(4) Metabolism-related biological macromolecules dynamically modify physiological pathological mechanisms and chemical interventions.
In 2022, NSFC plans to fund 5-10 integrated projects, with funding ranging from 2 million to 10 million yuan/ project, and the funding period is 3 years. NSFC also plans to fund 3-6 key support projects, with funding ranging from 1.5 million to 3 million yuan/project, and the funding period is 3 years.
