Electromagnetic Energy Equipment Science in Extreme Conditions Basic Major Research Program 2022 Project Guide
(1). Core scientific questions
The core scientific issues of this major research program are: the spatial-temporal evolution mechanism of electromagnetic energy interacting with materials under extreme impact from the electromagnetic thermal multi-field coupling.
(2). Funding research fields
a. The physical evolution mechanism and nonlinear structure-activity of linear propulsion materials for electromagnetic energy equipment.
b. The high-speed current-carrying friction interface damage mechanism and regulation of electromagnetic energy equipment.
c. Dynamic analysis of the service process of electromagnetic energy equipment under extreme conditions.
d. Exploration and research on new materials for energy storage of electromagnetic energy equipment under extreme conditions.
e. Simulation, in situ measurement and characterization of the time-space evolution process of high-speed current-carrying friction pairs in electromagnetic energy equipment.
f. The research in simulation, characterization of performance degradation mechanism performance improvement and in-situ measurement of the evolution process of the physical properties of electromagnetic energy storage materials under extreme conditions.
(3). Funding scheme
a. About 9 cultivation projects will be funded in 2022. The funding amount is about 800,000 yuan per project. The project period is 3 years. The project period in the application form should be filled in as “January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2025”. About 9 key support projects will be funded in 2022. The funding amount is about 3 million yuan per project. The project period is 4 years. The project period in the application form should be filled in as “January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2026”. About 2 integration projects will be funded in 2022. The funding amount is about 12 million yuan per project. The project period is 4 years. The project period in the application form should be filled in as “January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2026”.
b. Provisions for limited applications.
Applicant should follow the limited application regulations required by the “Application Regulations” section of the “2022 NSFC Project Guidelines”
