Project Guide for Going to Hong Kong to Participate in the “Frontier Intelligent Hardware and Information Systems Beyond Moore’s Law” International Academic Symposium in 2024
Funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as NSFC) and the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center (hereinafter referred to as BHKAEC), the international academic symposium on “Frontier Intelligent Hardware and Information Systems Beyond Moore’s Law” hosted by the University of Hong Kong will be held in May 2024 It will be held in Hong Kong later this month. The seminar will cover multiple application areas such as nano-optoelectronic systems, next-generation chip technology, Internet of Things and edge sensing, artificial intelligence (including robotics and autonomous driving technology) and information security. The seminar will conduct an in-depth discussion of the development status and future trends of the frontier fields of information science and engineering, as well as China’s plans and strategies in basic research on information science, technological innovation, industrial application promotion and information science education. It provides reference for relevant departments in my country to formulate industry planning and development plans, and provides strategic reference for the establishment of priority funding areas for information science and engineering disciplines in the next five to ten years.
According to the bilateral cooperation agreement between NSFC and BHKAEC and the “2024 National Natural Science Foundation Project Guidelines”, NSFC will sponsor scientific researchers interested in this academic seminar to participate, and encourage and support exchanges between scholars from the mainland and Hong Kong. This outbound conference project aims to organize scientific researchers who are interested in the above-mentioned conference content to conduct exchanges and discussions around the key points of international cooperation in this field, and to establish bilateral interdisciplinary cooperation relationships to lay the foundation for subsequent relevant research with Hong Kong scholars.
