Our research group focuses on the fundamental multiphase flow and the development of advanced flow diagnostics techniques for both laboratory and field applications.

  • Turbulence and multiphase flow: particle laden flows, particle-turbulence interaction, droplet/bubble fragmentation under turbulence, spray/aerosol formation and transport.

  • Advanced flow diagnostics tools for multidisciplinary research: digital inline holography, tomographic holography, holographic microscopy, scanning PIV.

  • Field-scale particle and flow measurement: snow settling under atmospheric turbulence, marine aerosol, coastal ocean bottom boundary layer
