To ensure a clean, safe, and orderly experimental environment, the following regulations are established for the use of Core Facility equipment by teachers and students:
- Do not enter the lab without an instrument reservation. Close the door immediately after entering or leaving the lab. It is strictly prohibited to open the door for unauthorized people.
- It is strictly prohibited to bring any food and drinks into the laboratory. Smoking and littering are prohibited. Do not move equipment, change electrical circuits, or connect electrical appliances without permission. Violators will be responsible for any consequences.
- Reserve the instrument on the BookitLab system before the experiment, at least one day in advance. If you didn’t make a reservation in BookitLab system or made a reservation for other person, your reservation right will be suspended for a month.
- Follow relevant operating procedures and instructions strictly. Users and their research groups will be responsible for maintenance costs if any damage is due to careless work.
- After the experiment, please restore the equipment, related components and shared tools to the original state. Clean the instrument and the lab bench as required.
- Register equipment usage in the Usage Record Table after completing experiments. Once unregistered use is discovered, the reservation right will be suspended for a month.
- It is strictly prohibited to transfer data by USB drives. Please transfer experimental data to your personal device via OneDrive or e-mail and delete the data stored on the computer.
- Notify administrator of Core facility for repair if supporting electrical facilities malfunction. Non-professional operators must not attempt repairs to avoid accident.
- When someone is injured, disinfect and bandage minor injuries immediately. Seek medical treatment promptly for serious injuries.
- When a fire occurs, shut down the machine immediately, use a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, call 88077119 and evacuate immediately.
- When equipment leakage occurs, the power supply of the equipment should be turned off immediately. If a person gets an electric shock, do not touch the person with physical contact. The power supply should be turned off first, and then the charged object should be separated with an insulating object.
- Any accident should be reported to the laboratory administrator immediately.
- For papers and research results presented or published that include usage of Core Facility Laboratory equipment, please indicate the instrument model and the following acknowledgment. “We thank the Core Facility team of the Department of Biotechnology and Food Engineers, Guangdong-Israel Institute of Technology for their service and technical support.”
