Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)

Model:

TA DSC25

Location:

R802

Main parameters:

  • Baseline Flatness (-50 to 300°C): ≤ 100 μW
  • Baseline Repeatability (-50 to 300°C): < 40 μW
  • Temperature Range: -90°C to 550°C
  • Temp Accuracy: ±0.1°C
  • Temp Precision: ±0.01°C
  • Enthalpy Precision: ±0.1%

Typical applications:

Differential Scanning Calorimeters (DSC) measure temperatures and heat flows associated with thermal transitions in a material. Common usage includes investigation, selection, comparison, and end-use performance evaluation of materials in research, quality control, and production applications. Properties measured by DSC techniques include glass transitions, “cold” crystallization, phase changes, melting, crystallization, product stability, cure/cure kinetics, and oxidative stability.

Sample requirements:

The samples cannot be decomposed within the temperature range of the DSC test. For tests above 200°C, please conduct a TGA test beforehand to ensure sample stability and that they do not decompose within the test temperature range.
