Abstract
Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) are known for their tunable electronic properties and wide application on field effect transistors, catalysis or solar cells. Most common lattice structures of TMD materials are 2H and 1T phases. But there are also other phases, which can be manipulated by interface interaction, electron beam and heating. In this lecture, I will introduce the theoretical investigation on the phase selection or transformation. Those new phases involve change of lattice symmetry and electronic properties.
