Dr. Vijaykumar Jadhav joined GTIIT in 2019 as a Research Scientist in the Material Science and Engineering program. His research is focused on the synthesis of metal oxide and MXene materials for energy storage and generation technologies. He is a recipient of a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2016 to develop advanced materials for 3D Li-ion batteries. He represented India in the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) conclave in 2021 and was among the top 20 candidates from the country. Based on 3D-printed rechargeable Nickel-zinc battery research, he has been awarded Young Scientist through Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, Lindau, Germany in 2019. He is a young scientist awardee of the Indo-Korea Research Project-2015 by the Department of Science and Technology, India, and the National Research Foundation of the Republic of Korea in 2014. 

He is an active reviewer for ACS, Elsevier, RSC, and Springer journals. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, 3-books and 5-book chapters. He so far has delivered many Invited Talks and oral presentations at prestigious scientific peer-conferences with international acclaims and awards, generated research funds in excess of >€ 350,000, supervised students/junior researchers, and actively participated in outreach and scientific dissemination for the service of wider community. He has several collaborations with eminent scientists across the globe including Australia, Saudi Arabia, Korea, China, Ireland, Poland, and India. He also has an excellent collaboration and interactions with over 25 junior and senior colleagues in UK, USA, India, South Korea, China, Australia, UAE, and Ireland with whom he has co-authored his publication. As an asset Dr. Jadhav successfully qualified the National eligibility test (NET) with 364th rank, conducted by CSIR, in Physics, New Delhi, India, which helped him to get Ph.D. admission, which is also one of the essential eligibility criteria for Assistant Professor Position in various national universities in India. He has demonstrated an outstanding ability as independent research, great teamwork and international network in six countries of three continents (Asia, Europe, and Australia).
