Damiano Padovani is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (China) since 2021. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and his Ph.D. degree in Engineering with a specialization in Fluid Power from Purdue University (USA). He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Vanderbilt University (USA), as a faculty at the University of Agder (Norway), and in industry with Parker Hannifin (USA). His research interests are about fluid power and soft robotics mainly focusing on energy efficiency and motion control.
