Associate Professor
Chemistry Program
Milan Sindelka has joined the Department of Chemistry at GTIIT as an associate professor in December 2024. Milan Sindelka received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Physics from the Charles University in Prague. Afterwards Milan Sindelka worked as a postdoctoral fellow (and later on as a senior research associate) at the Technion in Haifa. In 2017, Milan Sindelka joined the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and served as deputy head of the Laser Plasma Department since 2019.
Milan Sindelka is a theoretician focusing on quantum mechanics. His research interests mainly include:
(1) quantum scattering theory (including nonhermitian treatments of metastable quantum systems);
(2) quantum theory of matter-light interaction (including driving of atoms by intense quantum light);
(3) quantum thermodynamics.
