Associate Professor, Environmental Science and Engineering Research Group
Office: R422
Qian received her PhD degree in Environmental Science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in August 2019. She worked as a Postdoc fellow at Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy (Sep. 2019 to Feb. 2022) and Department of Biology (Mar. 2022 to Feb. 2023) at University of Southern Denmark. During her Postdoc period, she conducted research work at Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB), Germany as a guest researcher (April 2022). Qian joined GTIIT as an associate professor in March 2023. Her research group in GTIIT focuses on phosphorus remediation, recovery and recycling in wastewater/sludge/sediments, valorization of waste materials as sustainable adsorbents for (waste)water treatment, and thermodynamic computation of biological processes.
