Notice on the application for the “Tiancheng Huizhi” Innovation and Education Fund

Topic Description

 “Tiancheng Huizhi” Innovation and Education Fund is set up for the cyberspace security, big data (including big data medical care), cloud computing, artificial intelligence (including artificial intelligence medical care) and blockchain disciplines in universities, and encourages application for interdisciplinary projects. The fund provides the following support and cooperation for selected institutions:

1. Fund for scientific research and innovation
Based on practical application, we will further promote the research and innovation ofuniversities in the fields of cyberspace security, big data (including big data medical),cloud computing, artificial intelligence (including artificial intelligence medical) and block chain. The fund will provide a subsidy of 20~60 million yuan for each research project (including 50% project funds and 50% resources for the construction of experimental conditions and supercomputing. The proportion of the two may be adjusted according to project conditions).

2. Fund for teaching reform
To further promote the teaching reform in the fields of cyberspace security, big data (including big data medical), cloud computing, artificial intelligence (including artificial intelligence medical) and block chain, the fund will provide a subsidy of 10~30 million yuan for each project (including 50% project funds and 50% resources for the construction of experimental conditions and supercomputing. The proportion of the two may be adjusted according to project conditions).

3. The projects and application conditions of the fund for research and innovation and the teaching reform should be in line with the requirements of “Guide to the Application for Fund for Innovation and Teaching Promotion of ‘Tiancheng Huizhi'” (Annex 1). 

4. The execution time of the projects for the funds is from March 1, 2019 to February 28, 2020, which may be moderately extended according to the complexity of the project, but shall not over two years. 

Topic Application

1. The applicant institution shall fill out the “Tiancheng Huizhi Innovation and Education Fund Project Application Form-Research and Innovation Fund” in accordance with the requirements of the “Tiancheng Huizhi Innovation and Education Fund Application Guide” (Annex 1). Or “Tiancheng Huizhi” Innovation Promotion Fund Project Report – Teaching Reform Fund (Annex 3).

2. The deadline for application for the project is September 30, 2018.

3. The electronic version of the application shall be sent to tcfund@cutech.edu.cn. The paper version of the application form shall be stamped with the official seal of the university in duplicate, and mailed to the Network Information Office of the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education (Address: Network Information Office, Science and Technology Development Center, Ministry of Education, Room 805, No. 35, Zhongguancun Street, Haidian District, Beijing, 100080).
