The Materials Science and Engineering Program at Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT), group of Prof. Yuanshen Qi, is welcome students to apply for graduate (Master and PhD) program to conduct experimental research projects in the field of physical metallurgy.
The graduate students for MSc/PhD degrees will be part of the Technion Graduate School. You will attend graduate classes (taught in English) and use research facilities at the Technion campus in Haifa for two semesters. The degree will be awarded by the Technion, Israel. Your project will also be co-supervised by a faculty member from the Technion.
隶属于广东以色列理工学院(汕头)与以色列理工学院(海法,以色列)材料科学与工程系的物理冶金实验室欢迎有兴趣的同学申请研究生项目(硕士与博士研究生,或硕博连读)。该联合培养项目由两边的导师共同指导,成功申请到的研究生会被送去以色列理工学院本部学习一年,修满学分并且做部分实验,在广东以色列理工学院主要是做实验和写论文。顺利毕业的学生将被授予以色列理工学院的硕士/博士学位。
以色列理工学院是世界顶尖的理工科高等院校,自2004年来已有3位现任教师获得诺贝尔奖。其中因发现准晶体而获得2011年诺贝尔化学奖的丹·谢赫特曼教师就毕业并且目前也任职于以色列理工学院材料系。在最近几年的上海交通大学学术排行榜中以色列理工学院的工程类排名在70名左右。

The research in the group will be focused on processing and tailoring the properties of metallic nanostructures by using physical metallurgy approach.

Selection Criteria (应聘条件):
– Master/ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Material Science and Engineering or Metallurgy or Inorganic non-metallic materials or Physics (essential)
本科或硕士学位毕业与材料科学与工程,金属材料,无机非金属材料或者物理专业
– Good knowledge in crystallography and diffusion in solids (preferable)
对晶体学和固态扩散有了解
– Hands-on experience in microstructure characterization (preferable)
有材料微结构表征的经验
– Good communication skills, good command of English (essential)
良好的英语语言沟通与写作能力
– Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment (essential)
具备撰写科学报告与论文的能力
