Electron Microscopy Center

The Electron Microscopy Center (EMC) was established in 2020 at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT). It is a forefront center with state-of-the-art instrumentations, enabling a wide variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects, covering topics from basic research to applied research. The EM center is well-equipped with advanced electron microscopes as well as an instrumentation for sample preparation in a cutting-edge technical environment.

The aim of the EMC is to provide high-quality services on electron microscope to both internal and external qualified users including researchers from other academic institutions and industries. It allows the investigation on the relationships of the microstructure (up to the atomic scale), chemical composition and performance with variety electron microscopy methods, providing great supports on the scientific basis for the optimization and further application of materials to a wide range of the research projects including material science, condensed matter physics, energy, chemical, biology and so on.
