>GTIIT Sports Unit

The Sports Unit is responsible for academic procedures and standards regarding physical education courses and sport activities for undergraduate students. It is the academic umbrella under which GTIIT undergraduate physical education and sport activities take place.

Vision/Objectives of the Sports Unit

The GTIIT Sports Unit aims to:

-    To manage GTIIT academic sport activities according and complying with China' Ministry of Education regulations and Technion-Israel Institute of Technology standards.

-    To establish a professional, systematic, continuous and diverse framework for physical activity at GTIIT, this, with the understanding (based in many studies) that physical activity engagement is important for the physical and psychological wellness of the students and improves their cognitive and study abilities.

-    In addition to the basic students' physical education and sports classes, to promote and support students' sport teams and clubs and activities between academics and students.

-    To develop sport activities suitable for each student according to his/her preference and to give them the ability to experience sport activities which will be difficult to find in any other framework.

-    To develop a sport culture among GTIIT students.

-    To maintain a high level of sports activities, installations, equipment, professionals and safety.
