Good News from the 16th National Undergraduate Mathematics Competition Guangdong Division and the 14th Guangdong Provincial Undergraduate Mathematics Competition

On November 8, 2025, the 16th National Undergraduate Mathematics Competition Guangdong Division and the 14th Guangdong Provincial Undergraduate Mathematics Competition were successfully held. A total of 25 students from our university participated as scheduled at the Shantou University (STU) test site.

During the competition, the students demonstrated outstanding mathematical talent and competitive strength on the field. In the Mathematics Category A, one student won the First Prize and another claimed the Third Prize. In the Mathematics Category B, three students secured the First Prize, two obtained the Second Prize, and one achieved the Third Prize. Additionally, in the Non-Mathematics Category A, one student also earned the Third Prize.

Participating students expressed that this experience will become an unforgettable part of their academic careers. Through this process of challenging themselves, they not only broadened their horizons but also deepened their understanding and love for the discipline of mathematics. Looking ahead, they will face their studies with a more positive attitude.

For the future, Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) will continue to strengthen the cultivation of students' mathematical literacy, strive to create a favorable environment conducive to talent development, and strive to cultivate more outstanding talents with international competitiveness.
