Science Competition Scholarship Policy for 2022

Application Requirement

This scholarship is awarded based on candidate’s application. Students who meet one of the following requirements are allowed to submit his/her application:

(i) Third prize or above at the provincial level in five major subject Olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, information science;

(ii) Second prize or above at provincial level in science and innovation competitions acknowledged by the MOE;

(iii) having innovative potential and excellent academic performance.

The admissions office will provide a detailed list of recognized competitions following the guidance from the MOE.

Application process and awarding method

From now until May 31, 2022, students can visit the GTIIT admissions website, enter the competition scholarship application system, and complete the online application according to the system requirements.

There are two ways to apply: "recommended by key high schools" or "individual application".

Students can check the eligibility of the competition scholarship from early June (specific time will be announced).

Winners will receive a one-time competition scholarship in the year of enrollment if they were finally admitted and their scores reach the first-tier cutoff line in the province.

The scholarship will be used to offset the first year tuition fee. The remain, after deducting the tuition fee for the first year, will be given to the student to subsidize daily study and living expenses.

This policy is applicable to GTIIT undergraduates enrolled in 2022. Final decisions are subject to the GTIIT Scholarship Committee.
