GTIIT Students Won Bronze Medal in 2024 ICPC Asia-East Continent Final Contest

From December 27 to 29, 2024, the 49th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia-East Continent Final Contest was successfully concluded at the Chang 'an Campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University. The contest was divided into three parts: warm-up competition, formal competition and Huawei Challenge. Universities compete in teams, with each team consisting of 3 players. The contest attracted 280 teams from 135 universities in East Asia, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Zhejiang University.

The "One Paper of Pure White Kites" team from GTIIT qualified for the Asia-East Continent  Final after standing out in the regional contest and ultimately won the bronze medal after five hours of intense competition in the final.


The ICPC is one of the largest and most prestigious international collegiate programming contests in the world. After more than five decades of development, it has become the most influential international programming competition for college students and is known as the Olympics of computer software. The contest promotes innovation and teamwork, encouraging students to unleash their creativity in building new software programs and testing their ability to work under pressure. It is a platform for computer programmers worldwide to showcase their skills and a window for top universities to display their educational achievements.

GTIIT's debut in the ICPC resulted in a national ranking of 72nd in the online contest, 2 silver medals in the Asia Regional Contest, and a bronze medal in the Asia Final. These achievements highlight the team's collaborative abilities and professional competence.
